Re: Batman: Return to Arkham Release Update Message

Just hope that the delay means they're upgrading it to Knight level graphics cause honestly I don't see why it cannot be done. AK was made with Unreal Engine 3 and this remaster is using Unreal Engine 4.

Also if WB is taking notes, please improve the combat system in Asylum although it was great but compared to City's combat, Asylum feels like fighting with one hand tied.

Lastly, if it doesn't ruin the experience they could follow the Dark Souls 2 remastered idea by adding more enemies and tweaking some of the AI so it feels almost like a different game for both New and Old players. IF it doesn't ruin the experience.

But really what I want is the AK batsuit as a playable skin in both games. Do that for me WB and you can guarantee I'll buy the game at launch

Re: Batman: Return to Arkham Release Update Message

While this is good to hear for those who are going to get this game because hopefully the next bit of news will offer more encouraging visuals, this couls also be a bit distressing. They could pull a nintendo ala Legend of Zelda and push it back to the next console release. Lol.

They should definitely make an Origins remake also. It's part of the arkhamverse so they should definitely make it. Change the glide to be more like Akrham knight and maybe add some new stuff.

Indefinitely, if you believe the hyperbole of this article:

@SteveGrayson:

Just saying, but the name of the game studio that is developing the Remaster is called Virtuos and not Virtuous. Smiley Wink

Re: Batman: Return to Arkham Release Update Message

Coolness.

Now, realistically I don't expect to see Arkham Origins, my favorite entry of the series, added to this. But can we at LEAST get the Batsuit from that game?

This is debatable of course, but up until the Arkham Knight Batsuit became a thing, the Arkham Origins one was the best looking one, hands down. So would it be possible to add that one for us fans?

Oh. And a replay/New Game+ option for Arkham Asylum would be excellent, too.

Thanks!

Re: Batman: Return to Arkham Release Update Message

I'm quite glad to hear this news. The limited information about the game was already very concerning to me, and a lot of the graphics on the HD models looked like they still needed work.

Seeing that WB is willing to delay the game rather than rush out yet another project unfit for release shows that they've learned something from their misteps with Arkham Knight and Arkham Origins.

I would hope that somehow this increased development time results in a greater likliehood of a PC version.

Re: Batman: Return to Arkham Release Update Message

Glad to see that the developers have more time to polish the game to Rocksteadys standards; I saw the side by side comparission and it was rough. But if this remastered version is indeed coming back and not canceled (as some here are saying) Batman: Arkham Oringins should be added as well. It was a great game that would look awesome in Unreal Engine 4.

Re: Batman: Return to Arkham Release Update Message

Chris, no offence, but for the last god knows how long you've been begging for these remasters, almost spamming in some people's eyes, saying that you think nothing is wrong with the remasters very strongly here and that you can't wait to play them, and now you're happy they're delayed?

What if I already pre-ordered the game. Will I get my money back or an update on when it will release, or will sales be canceled.

Pre-order should still stand. You'll just get it later. I think.

You'll keep your pre-order, just the game won't release on the 26th July as previously intended.

I could tell the game was not finished. The rendered scenes looked like they was in stages.

Re: Batman: Return to Arkham Release Update Message

Well I am kind of disappointed, that it was delayed, since I was looking forward to it (well have to play it on PS3 then), but if we get a better quality in the end, it is deffinitely  the right decision. Some characters looked wierd like Hugo Strange.

Even so it is most unlikely, but I still think it would be cool, if they would use the AK voice actors (Scarecrow, Gordon, Barbara) for the Remastered Edition for the sake of continuity.

Photo Mode would also be nice.

As for me I dont really need AO in it, but I would be fine with it being included.
