Feedback on Latest Updates

Hi all,

 

We're making a few changes to the organization of how the Support boards will display key info and updates. This thread, once called "Updates on support", will now be the "Feedback on Latest Updates" thread for all feedback directly relating to the "Updates on Support/ Latest Updates" sticky.

Thank You for info, but there is at least one more, game-breaking bug, which many people have in various places (Blackgate, GCPD, Final Offer) when Batman starts falling endlessly and screen turns black. Discussion below:

Game can't be continued because there is only autosave option. Moreover we can't backup our saves anymore because there isn't one in c:/users/mydocuments/WBgames like in past games... It means that all progress is lost and game must be started all over again...But this can happen anytime again...

At least give us back the possibility to backup our save data...

@bartekb8 We are aware of the infinite falling issue and the teams are currently investigating ways to find a resolution.

I was trying playing Multiplayer Mode but I got after the Loading screen a blackscreen!. Smiley Sad

Cant play that game online T_T I have allready updatet all drivers and still have got the blackscreen problem.

 

I use a ATI Readeon HD 6970 2 GB DDR .

 

If I play the story mode then I don't have any problems.

Hey mercury is there any way your able to just move all bugs to this thread and that way it can all be condensed down in one place. My other suggestion would be to create one thread and move everything there and sticky it for us as we keep adding bugs found in the game for the developers for a patch, thanks.

Any official word on improving the ability to bind quickfire gadgets to specific keys? Not even having the batterang is kind of ridiculous, and Arkham City was so customisable. I basically find myself not using gadgets in a fight because I have to lean across the keyboard for some of them, and double-tapping is less peceise and more prone to having me click extra times, losing my combo.

Hi Mercury,

 

Have you considered getting the devs to release a quick hotfix just for the burnley tower, having to wait days for devs to combine all the fixes in one patch is a bit of an annoyance, at least with that hotfix which is easy to fix people can at least do most of the game.

 

Also tell the devs that 20 crit strikes in one free flow at a later stage of the game is nigh on impossible, get them to reduce it to 10 or 20 crit strikes in one fight (not one free flow). This was not thought through too well and they didn't realise that non-armed groups of 6 or more is very rare.

Oh come off it, get better at the game and try again, don't suggest they make things easier to cater to the less skilled players. Besides, it's actually very easy to do EVEN at the later stages, I did mine after I had completed main story. And if you have problem doing this, good luck doing Shadow Vigilante Rank 15 where you have to get 50x Combo and do 15 variations (basically all moves and gadgets in close combat) in one freeflow or maybe you'd have them nerf that as well.

 Lastly, this is not the place to ask such things anyway.

Just wanted to comment on the situation.

 

That's a nice list of game breaking bugs.  Makes me wonder about the point behind releasing the game so soon. What were you thinking?

Was really looking forward to playing this game this weekend. Instead I preordered the game just to be a Beta tester for you guys. Thanks again.

But.

 

The game does run very well. You did a splendid job optimizing the game for PC. The best use of DX11 & Physx I've yet seen in a multiplat title. Well done. Now just fix the **bleep** thing so I can play it :3

Actually,

 

Right now there is little groups were I can attain 20 criticals in the one free flow as I beat them before I can, and I can crit hit no problem. It is very rare to get a group that you can do that with. If I had knew I would have got all 11 challenges before heading into the Final Offer and did the 20 in the arena there.

 

50x combo and variations isn't a problem, as long as there is enough peeps, armored is best in that situation as you can build a combo no problem with a cloak stun and beatdown on them.

 

Also it is the place to suggest it, since it is the support section of the forum which talks about problems and all the bugs. 20 crits in free flow is a tall ask, you just have to get lucky with 2 groups of poorly armed peeps during a police emergency to get close to it.

 

But then again we can't be all as good as you can we [/end sarcasm]

Hehe MrWayne1,

 

I almost agree with you on the first part. Indeed the game has problems and hopefully they will fix them quickly. In contrast many other AAA titles out there are worse and the dev/product teams are with the 'oh, well, live with until the next month' attitude. We will see next week how WB Montreal attend to such things (having in mind how carefully, for good or bad, they have created the game). 

 

I completely agree on the second part, though Smiley Happy I was quite surprised by the same fact. The aforehinted AAA titles didn't do the PC justice as the Batman games did. I'm very happy about this.

BTW, WB Montréal, please don't nerf the game. Being difficult is one of its greatest features and it aligns very well with the Origins story thing. Please Smiley Happy Let us sweat over it.

I know it's offtopic, but I agree that game is very well optimized and looks just astonishing! (And I thought the graphics will be only slightly better than in Arkham CitySmiley Happy

Actually, that particular task appears to be bugged as well. I have no trouble getting well over 20 critical strikes in a combo. The game, however, has trouble counting them all unless there's enough time between strikes. In order to get it to reliably count critical strikes for that Shadow Vigilante rank, I needed to wait (i.e. vault over guys a few times) for the "Critical Strike" text from the previous one to clear before starting the next one. I may make a video of this at some point to provide evidence.

Found a good time to do it, in coventry a bird icon will appear in the bottom left of the coventry map. There is about 20 ish guys all normal type, very very easy to get the 20 crits in one free flow.

 

But however if that didn't appear, it would have been very hard to do it.

I have found another game breaking bug with the Mad Hater level. I'm stuck in wonderland with no way to get out. After destroying the wall with the explosive gel it apears that you have to jump on a plate and pull your way across the river. Easy expect for the fact that the plate is stuck on dry land. This leaves me with the options of quiting the game and starting over (and i really would not like to do that) or just wait for a patch. I pre-ordered this game back in june and I feel I have waitied enough. Please focus on this bug!!!!!!

Yes, this was awkward, too. The plate spawns a bit above the ground and if it falls on the ground, there's no way forward.

 

What I did was to jump into the water to restart the area. Each time the plate spawned anew. So, immediately after the black screen start tapping right to make Batman move the plate while it falls. If you are lucky you will move it while it falls so more than a half of it will be in the water but you have to be careful not to fall into the water again because a small gap between the plate and the ground appears. You could try jumping at the same time as well to avoid the fall. I did this like 7-8 times until I got it right. It is very annoying, so I hope they fix it as well.

Has anyone had any problems with the 2nd Bane fight, he just keep running to the wall with Batman on his back unable to move or act.

 

I now fall through the floor on the Bane Fight...

Game breaking bug in the chapel, I'm unable to counter the attacks with the glass shards. There's no counter indicator and even when I try countering anyway it doesn't work. I've tried restarting the game and my computer and still have no luck.
