Just a little video from CabooseXBL about all the news we've gotten over the years plus all the trailers .
I'm back and I want to share my thoughts again. I digged a bit deeper in the Arkham Knight character and there are details out there that you might have overlooked while talking about Joker's potential son. And then I do NOT mean that so-called baby Harley used to carry in AC (which turned out to be a fake in the DLC), but I think you should give this topic a chance!
Let´s talk about the Joker himself, we´ve got a lot of backstory of that guy in all the past games. We know that before he became a criminal (Red Hood) he was a failed comedian and a broken family man, which indicates that he had a family back in the day. It may sound a bit weird what I'm going to say but what if, in the mean time, he made contact with his son while he was more grown up. What if that guy might be just as insane as his father (in a different way maybe)? Maybe he was manipulated? I don't know but everything seems possible.
His son could have made a rare physical appearance in AA or AC. Maybe he was just employed as an Arkham-guard? He could have helped the Joker with his plan in Arkham Asylum. That could also explain he could have made an alliance with Dr. Crane there, probably without knowing that he actually is Joker's son seeing as Scarecrow doesn't know his real motive that he wants to see Batman suffer. The Arkham Knight (J's son) could have a complicated relation with his father, that he somehow now cares for him and looked up to him. That could have something to do with his line between him and Scarecrow; "You'll never understand".
Also he could have been trained as a soldier, in order of Hugo Strange, as his own personal helper that he kept secret. He trained in Venezuela by the way, probably by the League of Assassins. (Remember their link to Arkham.) He could have learned about Batman's real identity and all of his tactics the way Strange learned, via the League of Assassins. Batman has been trained by/with them!
In Arkham City there was a rumor that Strange and Joker secretly worked together (told by Catwoman), and rumors just don't appear out of thin air I suppose.
Now let's think logical;
Joker has been the key character all along in the whole Arkham series so far, he is almost as important as Batman used to be in the franchise. Logically it's impossible to now avoid him in the final game. Remember he said "If you'd see what I've been planning all along!" in Arkham City before his death. The way I see the series:
* Arkham Origins: The Joker's origin and his relation with Batman
* Arkham Asylum: The Joker's greatest game
* Arkham City: The Joker's fall
* Arkham Knight: His after-death-plan
Rocksteady stated that the Arkham Knight's plot has got effect on the events that occured in the past games (Arkham Asylum and City), and the Knight off course has got a relation to Arkham. The Joker is responsible for rising Arkham: the reopening of Arkham Asylum and the foundation of Arkham City.
What about Arkham Origins, why was that game released? To give fans an extra Arkham game while we were waiting for Rocksteady´s sequel? True! But also why did that story just have to center the Joker again, did we really need his backstory for this series? Most people don´t realise it, but Warner Brothers probably would want to create an origin story of Joker to fill gaps in terms of story for the Arkham Knight.
Most guys, who have seen the Arkham Knight in full glory, could see that the guy really talks, walks and acts like a young thug with a big mouth. Also look at his posture, does have muscles but he´s probably not as experienced as Bruce is. Also his line `This ends tonight old man` shows that he´s young.
Also you guys should notice that this theory, the Arkham Knight being Joker´s son, really fits with the game´s announcment trailer "Father to Son".
So with all the clues we got on the Arkham Knight makes the Joker´s son eventually a real possible identity that no one should underestimate.
So, to ease the agony that's brought on waiting for this game I decided to watch some B:TAS. While doing so I got an idea and this Fan-Made trailer is what spawned from it. I tried to be as true to the original source with the material I had to work with.
Hope you enjoy it.
